New Reveal At Geneva : 2009 Mansory Bugatti LINEA Vincero
Just before the Swiss close the doors of the Geneva Motor Show, tuning specialist Mansory had to show one more thing. Mansory's tuning is known for changing all the panels to carbon-fiber, and added more power.
Mansory's latest creation was this, Bugatti LINEA Vincero. We were all disappointed when Bugatti revealed the specs of the new Veyron Bleu Centenaire, because rumors about having more power and speed were lies. So to cheer us up, Mansory increased cooling air supply and optimized exhaust system, so the quad-turbo W16 engine his Bugatti LINEA Vincero now makes 1109 hp and 966 lb-ft of torque. No acceleration or top speed numbers were given, but surely this is faster than the regular Veyron.
Mansory also kept his basic tuning, given the LINEA Vincero naked carbon-fiber to nearly all its panels from hood to tail, added a new front apron, side skirts, larger air outlets on the sides and the back along with a new diffuser. The tuner also added LED daytime running lights in front mount along with a “V” on the grille for the “Vincero” name. Inside, Mansory stuffed it with black and white leather mixed with Alcantara. The LINEA Vincero was created in partnership with Mansory’s Middle East partner “Prestige Cars Abu Dhabi”. So this is what Arabian tuning is about, adding vulgarness to the already vulgar, and adding power to the already powerful.

New Reveal At Geneva : 2010 RUF eRUF Greenster
Last fall, Porsche high performance tuning specialist RUF announced it had built a prototype electric sports car called the eRUF, which was essentially a lithium ion battery-powered 911. However, the story doesn't end there.
At Geneva, RUF released the full-production version of the prototype eRUF. It's ca
lled the Greenster. The Greenster is a targa top 911 in the old style with a chopped speedster-type windshield. From the picture, it's clear that this is one of the greenest cars ever painted green. On the other hand, it's also one of the most environmentally-friendly machines ever (so it's green). So the RUF team has went to great lengths on making the Greenster in making fewer CO2 emissions. They've fitted with a bi-directional network connection that not only allows its battery to be recharged in less than an hour on a 400-volt power outlet, but also lets the car return energy back into the power network if needed. The system is called eDrive, and built by Siemens.
The main problem with prototype eRUF, was slowness. In other words, it wasn't at all a proper Porsche. With the Greenster however, things got a lot better. eDrive system now packs up 362hp, and a massive 695 lb-ft of torque. With kind of torque, the 1.6 ton Porsche hits 60 mph in less than 5 seconds, and will top out at 200 mph.If everything works out, RUF will put the eRUF Greenster in to small production series in 2010.

New Reveal At Geneva : 2010 Tata Nano Europa; 2009 Tata 2009 Prima Concept
Two new Tatas have come to Geneva to make their world debut. Here goes:
First, is the Nano Europa. It's basically a European version of the $2,500 Nano that debuted last year. The Nano Europa approves all the European regulations. So It has a longer wheelbase, more features, 3-cylinder all-aluminum MPFI engine mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission and electric power steering.
In addition to more features it actually looks good and with speculated pricing around 5,000 euros ($6,300 USD) could offer serious competition to small and cheaper European city cars by Dacia, Chevy, Citroen, Renault and Peugeot. If everything goes as planned then Nano Europa could go on sale earliest end of 2010.
Second one to go, is the Prima Concept. Prima is a entry-luxury mid-size sedan hitting the European market. We also noticed how good-looking this is; it was actually designed by the famous Italian designer Pininfarina, who also design Ferraris. It will be built in India, with a planned launch in Europe by 2011, in petrol, diesel, and even hybrid-electric engines.
So it looks like the Indians are catching up. In our opinion, if this Prima was actually as good as it looks, it could very well be better than the Chinese comers!

New Reveal At Geneva : 2009 Aston Martin Lagonda Concept
100 years ago, Lagonda was a luxury company belonged to Aston Martin. Lagonda created cars like M45 Tourer that was a rival to Bugatti back in 1934. Lagonda soldered one until the 1980's, were Aston's luxury brand was canceled because of poor sales. Well at Geneva, Aston Martin announced that they'll bring Lagonda back! This is what they came up with.
It's the Lagonda Concept. First rumors before it came out, that it was a Mercedes S-Class rival. Well from the pictures now, it's seems this concept is a 4-seater sporty crossover, much like the BMW X6.“The Lagonda is the luxury car of the future,” says Aston Martin Lagonda Chief Executive, Dr Ulrich Bez, “a combination of total usability, a new form and innovative new technology and materials.”
Lagonda concept uses Aston Martin’s 6.0L V12 and rides on 22-inch wheels. It has a very strong and bold design. It certainly shows some Aston DNA in the front fasica. We expect to hear a lot more about the revival and the new generation of the Lagonda Marque (luxury sedan built in the 80's) in the near future.Welcome back, Langonda !

New Reveal At Geneva : 2009 Hyundai i20 3-door; 2009 Hyundai ix-onic Concept
European market is growing large with city hatchbacks. That's why Hyundai has been working lately on small hatchbacks. Two hatchback concepts were released at Geneva.
First is the i20 3-door. The i20 is the coupe version of the 5-door i20. Because it has fewer doors, the price is lower and it's lighter, so the 1.2L is more powerful, at 87hp. Hyundai's i20 is positioned between the i10 and i30. This is just an example that Hyundai are working for European market.
Second is the ix-onic Concept. And the design is something that very much mimics European styling. Like the Kia No 3 concept, which bears more than slight resemblance to the Ford Fiesta, this ix-ONIC reminds one immediately of the Ford Kuga. Ford of Europe should be flattered by all the imitation. Or maybe they should sue!
The ix-ONIC name is obviously meant to convey the word iconic. And iconic may be taken to mean unique or ubiquitous. But there are some techno-goodies here to make this a veritable concept car. From 21-inch rims and LED headlights, to a panaramic glass roof.Source : [Hyundai]
New Reveal At Geneva : 2009 Citroën DS Inside Concept
Remember the 1960 Citroen DS? It's considered by many as one of the greatest cars of the 21rst century. Partly because it looked modern, and partly it was cool to roll in a Citroen. But mainly, the DS was one of the revolutions in car technology. It had power steering, semi automatic gearbox, fiberglass roof for reduced weight transfer while cornering, independent hydraulic suspension, disk brakes, and even traction control. It placed fifth on Automobile Magazine "100 Coolest Cars" listing in 2005. So celebrating Citroen's 90th birthday in Geneva, Citroen came up with a concept revival of the original DS.
The new 2009 Citroen DS Inside Concept launches Citroen's new "Créative Technologie" philosophy. The philosophy behind it is that consumers are demanding "wanting better", and not "wanting more". So the DS Inside Concept will focus on driving pleasure-oriented consumers after prestige, thrills and excitement.
The DS Line will shift into 3 models, DS3, DS4 and DS5. All-three cars are entering different car segments from small, medium and large. The DS3 will be based on the DS Line Concept they revealed in Geneva. However, Citroen promises each model will embody a 'Different Spirit' of Citroen's new 'Créative Technologie' philosophy.Source : [Citroën]
New Reveal At Geneva : 2009 Giugiaro Frazer-Nash Namir
Lets cut it to the chase, we all got bored of seeing hybrid concepts. Well, here's another one. However, when we checked how it looked and the specs, we certainly got excited. So here goes:
It's a design study made by the famous Italian designer Giugiaro. Nevertheless, people who are familiar with "Frazer-Nash", knowing it as a British auto maker. Well Frazer-Nash isn't making cars anymore. In fact, Frazer-Nash developed the hybrid-electric drivetrain. So Italian design combined with British engineering; that's quite one of the best workteam there could be!
Frazer-Nash's drive train includes 814cc rotary engine driving a generator. Then the generator charges a 400V lithium polymer battery pack that feeds electrons (power) to a pair of electric motors at each front-rear axle, with a total power of 362 hp. With Giugiaro's lightweight aero dynamic design, the Namir will do 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and will go up to 187 mph. They claim it's the world's fastest hybrid car ever! And with an equivalent of 91 mpg, the Namir also manages to be one of the "greenest" electric cars ever to be produced in the future.Source : [Giugiaro]
New Reveal At Geneva : 2009 Koenigsegg Quant Concept
Just few weeks ago Koenigsegg released a teaser of the Quant. At that time we could only see the front and had no idea what to expect. We speculated that it could be a new generation of a supercar that has an enormous engine. We were totally wrong! Koenigsegg has made Quant official at Geneva and surprise of all surprises! It is a four-seater solar-power electric car. Yes, even one of the most "maddest" supercar companies of all have entered the electric car market.Since the Swedish company only used to do 800hp CCX, the eclectic motor was done by NLV Solar AG. It also does the photovoltaic and accumulator technologies. Overall, NLV Solar AG commissioned the new environmentally-friendly supercar and asked Koenigsegg to come up with a design that would incorporate their technology.
The technology behind the Quant is astonishing. NLV’s technology features an advanced electric-power generation and storage system which will allow the Quant to recharge in 20 minutes while providing a range of 500km (311 miles). Additional power comes from a solar panels that cover the body of the car, further increasing the range potential. Quant uses rear wheel drive, with four-wheel brake regeneration, ABS and ESP.

It's the slowest Koenigsegg, on the other hand, it's one of the fastest electric cars ever to be produced!
Quant’s looks like a futuristic supercar at first, but it actually seats for, it lacks B-pillars and uses gull-wing doors for easy entrance. There is only one door on each side of the car. Windows on the other hand can be opened separately on the front and rear.

New Reveal At Geneva : 2009 Spyker C8 Aileron
Last year's Geneva show saw the introduction of Spyker's second-generation sports car, in concept form. This year, the car is back in full production, as Spyker prepares for a full upgrade to its lineup.
Ofcourse, Spyker customers are most interest in how the car looks inside-out. And I'm glad to say, they won't be disappointed. The C8 Aileron kept Spyker's signature aircraft influence, from the doors till the roof. This second generation C8 gets new headlights and a front grille that makes it look like a shark, a mean and powerful shark. The hood gets more and more vents. Following the glass roof, the rear-end gets a diffuser like any supercar, because this Spyker is in the supercar territory.
The C8 Aileron is still powered by an Audi 4.2L FSI V8. But with 400hp on tap, the Aileron will hit 187 mph, while 60 mph was gone in 4.5 seconds. These numbers are pretty much similar to the Audi R8 and Aston Martin V8 Vantage. So there's no doubt that this is a supercar.
After weathering some recent financial difficulties, Spyker hopes that the C8 Aileron will help to move the brand forward. That can be seen from the interior, where many customers thought the flat cross steering wheel was too much. Spyker has listen, so Aileron has a more familiar Audi steering wheel. Still, the Aileron still has the "open-air" gear shifter, hand-tuned aluminum dash and classic aeronautical themes that dominate the interior. The C8 Aileron then, is still the Spyker we all love, it's a fashion accessory. It's much cooler than any Ferrari or Audi supercars.

New Reveal At Geneva : 2010 Audi TT RS
Ever since the Audi TT started back in 1998, the TT was a sexy little car. But that's it. The TT was always missing the sportiness of the original 1981 Quattro rally car had. Nowadays, the Quattro is just Audi's brand name that indicates the car has 4-wheel drive. And this, the Audi TT RS, the most sporty TT ever, has the Quattro all-wheel drive.TT RS will be available in both Coupe and Roadster forms. Audi TT RS competes with cars like BMW's Z4 M, Mercedes' SLK AMG, and Nissan's 370Z.
To bring back the glory days of the 1980's Quattro rally car, Audi has equipped the TT RS with a new 2.5L turbocharged 5-cylinder that gives a lot of go. 340hp and 331 lb-ft of torque to be exact. The result of all that power in a small body that weighs 1.4 tons, is 0-60 mph in under 4.6 seconds for the Coupe and 4.7 seconds for the Roadster, and a top speed of an electronically-limited 155 mph. Without the limiter, it could crack 170 mph. That makes it the fastest TT ever built. We should think of it as a baby R8, but accelaration is as fast as the R8!
To make the TT RS handle all that power, Audi engineers have stiffen the suspension and updated the braking-system. They've also revised the electronic stability control system to stable the car with that extra power.
This is also definitely, the most aggressive TT ever. Compared to the standard TT, the TT RS gets a more aggressive front fascia with bigger air intakes, a rear diffuser, new fixed rear spoiler, Audi's LED lights and twin-spoke alloy rims. Inside, there's a new leather multifunction sports steering wheel, and sports seats with a combination of Alcantara and leather.
The 2010 Audi TT RS will made its official world debut at Geneva Motor Show today, in coupe and roadster form. Both the TT RS Coupe and Roadster will be available in European markets during the second quarter of the year.Source : [Audi]
New Reveal At Geneva : 2010 Renault Clio RS 200; and Renault Megane RS 250
At the Geneva Motor Show, Renault have released the RS (RenaultSport) kit for both the Clio and Megane hatchbacks. The RS bodykit includes front splitter with air-intake, LED daytime running lights, widened sills, rear-diffuser, and black-out 18-inch rims. Inside, the RS package gives bolstered sports seats special Renaultsport steering wheel with thumb grips and aluminum pedals. However, there's a Cup version for both Clio and Megane, and this were it gets serious.
The Clio RS 200 Cup is 36 kg lighter than the RS 200. It also gets stiffer suspension and a lower ride-hieght for better center of gravity to improve handling. That means, the RS 200 Cup gets the full naturally aspirated 200hp 2.0L engine. That means it's faster than the standard model, but beacause it's lighter it results into better CO2 emissions. It is definitely a hot-hatch.
The Megane RS 250 Cup on the other hand is a fire-breathing hatchback. With a turbocharged 2.0L that packs 250hp and 250 lb-ft of torque through a short-shift 6-speed manual gearbox and lighter weight, the RS 250 Cup competes with hatchbacks like the Mazda 3 MPS and Ford Focus RS.
The suspension hasn't changed, but like the other Renaultsport models, the RS 250 is available with one of two sport suspensions. The standard sport chassis provides daily-driver responsiveness for enthusiast drivers, while the more extreme Cup suspension features a limited-slip differential. Both suspensions include revised electronic power steering and a stability control system that's easily disconnected for track days.So Renault has added sience to their hatchbacks!

New Reveal At Geneva : 2009 Bugatti Veyron Bleu Centenaire
The Bugatti Veyron Bleu Centenaire is a celebration to Bugatti's 100th year anniversary. So 2009 is a really special year for Bugatti, as in 1909 it was founded by an Italian man called Ettore Bugatti. Veyron Centenaire will be uber-exclusive, with only 200 units will be built, with a price tag of a dizzying 1.35 million Euros!
Sadly though, rumors and reports about the Bleu Centenaire having 1350hp and topping 270 mph are just FALSE! the Bleu Centenaire is powered by a 1001hp W16 as any Veyron. However, it seems the Bleu Centenaire is more about the luxury side of Bugatti.
Yes it still can top out more than 400 km/h, but the Bleu Centenaire features the same blue paint color as the original Bugatti of the old did, cream "snowbeige" interior with comfy leather seats. As for technology, this special edition Veyron features new LED lights, Park Distance Control and a rearview camera viewed on an iPod Touch on-board. So it meets all the "absolutes" of the car industry, absolute power combined with absolute luxury. So the Veyron still wins our heart, even if the SSC Ultimate Aero TT is faster.Source : [Bugatti]
New Reveal At Geneva : 2010 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano HGTE; and Ferrari 599XX
Whenever Ferrari GT cars start to feel their age, Ferrari refreshes that with a "handling pack". Atleast that's what they did to the old 575M when it got a GTC handling pack and the the 612 Scaglietti got the HGT-S package. Here's the new pack for the 599 GTB revealed in Geneva Motor Show.
The first is the HGTE pack. – the H standing for "handling", GT for "gran turismo" and E for "evoluzione". So the HGTE pack will give a lot for the 599 to make it feel "refreshed" from its debut in 2007.
The new pack gives 20-inch light-weight modular wheels wrapped in fresh rubber, a "thrilling" retuned chrome exhaust, new front mesh grille, upgraded and stiffer spring rates, revised anti-roll bars, lower ride-height for lower center of gravity to improve handling, improved electronics with faster F1 gear shifters, and a new engine software strategy has improved accelerator response.
Inside, the Handling GT Evoluzione package gives the 599 a much more hard-core sportier look. With full gain of leather, black Alcantara and naked carbon-fiber trim. Seats are finished with Alcantara leather and seat backs are trimmed entirely in carbon-fibre. Embroidered in contrasting stitching on the headrest, are a Prancing Horse and the words “Handling GTE".
The second model of the 599 GTB, is the 599XX. It's a showcase to the Ferrari FXX F1 racing development program. So the 599XX is a road-legal car that is packed with Ferrari's F1 technology. Only 20 or 30 units will be built, and Ferrari will offer them to "special" costumers.
While it's based on the 599, the Ferrari F1 racing team have done some extensive treatment on the body, giving it a deeper front-splitter, side skirts, aero dynamic mirrors, Michelin F1 tyres, and a fixed carbon-fiber rear-spoiler with a twin rear-diffuser that give 280 kg of downforce at 200 km/h. Ferrari also messed with the engine compartment to make the 6.0L V12 sing all the way to 9,000 rpm and give 700 hp! So already the Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce has a strong rival.

New Reveal At Geneva : 2009 Mitsubishi i MiEV Sport Air Concept
Mitsubishi revealed the latest iteration of its iMiEV Sport this morning in Geneva, the Sport Air. This year's version is marginally longer (20 mm) and taller for what Mitsubishi describes as a "more technical" look to the car's teardrop shape. While the new concept doesn't look dramatically different, some of the contours are a bit sharper, and solar power cells are embedded in the lower portion of the windshield and the removable glass roof. Sorry to say this, it looks like a squashed egg.
The iMiEV Sport Air uses an aluminum space frame to carry its lithium ion battery and electric drive system, which help limit mass to just 940 kg. The motor gets a bump from the standard iMiEV's 47 kW to 60 kW which helps acceleration, and the range climbs from 100 miles to 120 miles, although Mitsubishi has declined to specify whether the new battery is larger.
No word yet on when it will go into production, and we aren't interest either. Though, this could only be for the Japanese market. So not everything that works in Japan should work in the rest of the world.Source : [Mitsubishi]
