New Reveal At Geneva : 2010 Bentley Continental Supersports

It was revealed before and now it's making its live debut at the Geneva Motor Show. It's the 2010 Bentley Continental Supersports. This is the most powerful Bentley ever made, and it runs on a FlexFuel system that can work on either gasoline, E85 biofuel or any combination of the two. So it means, that this Bentley is green when it's running on E85 biofuel, and a monster at the same time. It's a green-mean machine.
Like any other Continental, the Supersports is powered by a W12 engine. So when this engine and the FlexFuel system are combined, the Continental Supersports gets 621 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. Even though it still weights a ridiculous 2.2 tons, the Continental Supersports gets to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds, and reach all the way 204 mph. But even at slower speeds, this Supersports feels powerful as the torque will be available from just 1,750 rpm. The 4-wheel drive system is kept from the standard Continental, but the Supersports model gets a new "Quick Shift" 6-speed automatic with paddle-shifters. Also, carbon-ceramic brakes come as standard.
The Supersports just looks like any other Continental, but Bentley gave it some small touches to make it feel as a special edition Continental. At the front, the fascia gets new air vents on the hood and on the bumper, and the head-lights get a blacked-out treatment. The Continental Supersports also gets blacked-out lightweight 20-inch alloy rims. From the back, it gets darker tail-lights and a rear diffuser with some really cool exhaust pipes.

Inside, the main change from the standard Continental, is the lack of rear seats. Bentley have replaced the rear seats with a storage compartment and a straighten beam. However, the 2 seats upfront are now made from carbon-fiber for reduced weight, and even more naked carbon-fiber on the center console, and a new 3-spoke steering wheel for the driver.
The Bentley Supersports with the new FlexFuel system will be available for most markets on autumn of 2009. Prices will be announced in the near future. However, Bentley did announced that by 2012, all Bentley's line-up will feature the green FlexFuel system. That means, we are surely going to see the rest of the Bentleys with that system. So if this is the right way to green and mean machinery, Bentley is in the lead.
