New Reveal At Geneva : 2009 Zagato Perana Z-One
Italian design consultancy and engineering service company Zagato revealed a new model called Perana Z-One. Perana Z-One is Zagato’s first teamwork with a South African vehicle manufacturer Perana Performance Group.
The Z-One is a classic-looking sports car. Long hood, side vents, and a sloping rear end. It also uses a classical V8 as well. Power comes from the same 6.2L LS3 V8 as in the Chevrolet Corvette, with 440hp. Power is sent to rear wheels via 6-speed manual transmission. This stylish 2-seater offers almost 50/50 weight distribution. With only 1.3 tons on weight, Zagato Perana guarantees that the Z-One will hit 60 mph under 4 seconds and that 100 mph comes in under 10 seconds.
Z-One will be limited to 999 cars per year with prices starting at 50,000 Euros plus taxes. Sales are expected to start already this summer. We are surely impressed by the first attempt from an Italian and South African collaboration. Source : [Zagato]
