Dave Schaub is planning on driving 9,800 miles in 9 days, during which he will drive through 49 of the 50 states in the United States. Which basically means he'll be driving all around the U.S., except for Hawaii. Nonetheless, his journey isn't just burning rubber through the states. Schaub, who will embark on his journey on Sept. 8, said that he will raise and donate up to $100,000 to the Ronald McDonald House at Stanford.
The ride? Well, his dream was to drive 1932 Ford Highboy Roadster. Since there aren't any truly working units of it anymore, he's going for a modern-replica version of it, in black. Power comes from a Chevrolet engine making 355-hp mated to a GM automatic transmission.
