New Reveal At NY : 2010 BMW 760i & 760Li

While Mercedes-Benz updated their S-Class with a facelift, and a new hybrid engine, the people at BMW presented at the New York Auto Show the new gigantic-grilled 7-series with a new engine it really needed. It's the BMW 760i, and wheelbase-stretched 760Li.
The 2010 760Li now takes places as the top model 7-series with that new engine, and some cosmetic changes to the exterior to defer from the other 7-series. Both 760i and 760Li can be ordered either with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Compared to the regular 7-Series it has an extended wheelbase by (14 centimeters / 5.5 inches) for more leg room.
The 2010 760i and 760Li get an all-new 6.0L twin-turbo all-aluminum V12 engine. Despite this V12 engine is coping with a heavy body, and even heavier Bimmer luxury equipment, it still develops 554 hp and 533 lb-ft of torque, and the red-line is only at a low 5,000 rpm. Because this engine wasn't engineered to accelerate in loud noise, but it was develop to pass on the highway with pure silence. Nevertheless, the 2010 760i and 760Li would do 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds! According to BMW fuel consumption has been improved by 4.5% than the previous generation 760i.
To differentiate from the base 7-series, the 760i and 760Li come with unique 19-inch wheels and chrome plated gills. Other changes include revised grille that boasts an extra-wide chrome frame in slightly concave design as well as bars extending powerfully to the front for cooling the V12 engine. At the back, both feature a quad squared exhaust pipes combined within the rear-bumper.
