With the help of tuner company, Five Axis, Toyota's Scion got a new look for the IQ. This special concept version of the Scion iQ micro-subcompact mini car has an all-new wide-bodykit. Upfront, the Scion IQ Concept gets an extended bulging bumper with larger grille and air vents. At the back, the wheel arches are very well "pronounced", and now featuring a huge center exhaust pipe that make it look very sporty and aggressive. These wheel arches now hold big 18-inch rims.
Inside, the Scion engineers came up with two new innovations with the IQ. The 3+1 interior now features a well sized 10-inch pop-up LCD display that shows the entertainment system and navigation. More importantly, since the rear-window is very close-up to the rear-seats, this Scion IQ Concept is equipped with a rear window airbag that provides protection to rear seat passengers whose heads are stuck against the rear glass.
Although this is still a very small compact car, it's powered by a 1.3L VVT-i 4-cylinder engine, that develops 93 hp.
Toyota has not confirmed yet whether iQ goes on sale in U.S or not, but we are more than sure that Scion badged iQ will be available in the near future. Surely without the aggressive Five Axis body kit and the enormous 18-inch wheels.
