Team Manager of Audi Sport Italia, Emilio Radaelli, were first who accepted the R8 LMS from Head of Audi Motorsport Dr. Wolfgang Ullrich.
Six customers plan to race in five European GT3 championships. They will also take part in the 24-hour race at the Nurburgring for which Audi Sport has built an endurance version of the R8 LMS.

Deliveries of the Audi R8 LMS will start in fall 2009 for the 2010 season. Presumably, Aston Martin, Jaguar and Porsche should be worried now that Audi also joined the GT3 series.
