SPY SHOTS : Ford's new "Coyote" V8 spotted in a Mustang mule

About a week ago, Ford announced that they'll be changing the engine line-up for the 2011 Ford Mustang. They announced that a new 400hp "Coyote" 5.0L V8 will finally replace the old 4.6L V8. And now it shows! Here's pictures of the new engine spotted under-the-hood of a test-mule Mustang.

Well, here's pictures taken from Brenda Priddy & Company (one of the most trusted companies for spy shots), that are reportedly of the new 5.0L V8, code named "Coyote", cradled in the engine bay of a Mustang test car. Brenda says the pictures were taken in a public place, so we're running them here.
Notable items: The 5.0L Coyote V8 appears to have an aluminum intake manifold instead of composite like the current 4.6L V8 engines use. It's also said to have a lighter aluminum cylinder block instead of cast iron.

So now, we know the 400hp 5.0L is surely coming. Still, we need to check out the 3.5L EcoBoost V6. Moreover, rumors that a new 2.0L EcoBoost will replace the base 4.0L V6.

So, finally a true competitor to the engines in the Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger?
Bring it on, Detroit!
