LEAKED : Porsche Panamera first image and details leaked online

According to AutoTelegraaf, the image above is the first official picture of the Porsche Panamera, or what Porsche calls it "Four, uncompromised". However, I think it should be "five, uncompromised", because as you can see, the Panamera is a 5-door hatchback. A rather ugly 5-door, just look at the back-end, it's simply "awful". To avoid looking at it, just get inside. We saw the fantastic interior before, and here it is.

However, let us not forget that the 16.3 foot long car is a Porsche. So that means, it will be good-made, filled in with Porsche technology, and ofcourse fast. The new Panamera is fitted with an electronic air suspension, along with an LSD. Also, power can be sent to either the rear wheels, or all four, depending on what power range. The range of engines include 4 choices. Starting off with the standard 3.6L V6 putting out 300 hp. In the Panamera S, it goes upwards to a 4.8L V8 with 400hp, and 500hp in the twin-turbo Panamera Turbo S. There will also be a V6-hybrid variant with 350hp. All engines are connected to a dual-clutch 7-speed Porsche PDK gearbox.

Porsche has high ambitions for the Panamera. They're aiming to sell approximately 20,000 units of the Panamera each year, with the automaker estimating that 20% will be the range-topping Turbo model. The Panamera will only be available in S and Turbo guises at launch, with the V6 model following shortly thereafter. Once established, Porsche hopes demand will increase to 50,000 units annually, with sales beginning in the U.S., Europe and Asia next year.
