New Reveal : 2011 BMW X1

Back in September last year, BMW came up with the X1 Concept crossover SUV. Nonetheless, the X1 made it to production lines, and will be on sale this fall in Europe, and 2011 in U.S. market. The BMW X1 is set to be smaller than X3, but based on a 3-Series (like the X3). However next year, BMW will eventually phase-out production of the X3, in-favor of the new X1.
Compared to the concept, the production X1 nearly looks similar on the exterior side. On the other hand though, BMW had cleared off some of the ugly design-lines on the concept, to give the production X1 a cleaner look.
Just like all BMW interiors, the X1 features stacks of leather on the seats, dashboard, and armrests. X1 also implements BMW's new iDrive 2.0. Though the X1 doesn't get BMW's new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, but it gets a more commonly-used 6-speed with button-shifters mounted on the 3-spoke steering wheel. under the X1's hatch, maximum luggage space is 1,350 liters when the rear-seats are folded down.
Under the X1's body, BMW is offering six engine choices. While for the first time ever in an X-Series model, BMW's crossover will available in sDrive rear-drive and xDrive all-wheel drive configurations.
