New Reveal : 2010 Ford Mustang NASCAR edition; to race in Nationwide series

The Ford Mustang is best known, as the quarter-mile muscle-car dragster. Now though, the all-new 2010 Mustang is coming to the NASCAR racing, as announced by Ford. The picture above, is the new 2010 Ford Mustang NASCAR edition, that will be racing at the Nationwide series. Although all NASCAR cars have the same engines and platforms, this body-shelled Mustang will be going 200 mph!

“We had been talking with NASCAR for some time about Mustang as part of its vision for a ‘muscle car’ rollout for the Nationwide Series. We both saw it as a way of differentiating the series from Sprint Cup,” said Brian Wolfe, director of Ford North America Motorsports. “We loved the idea, so we jumped on the chance to extend Mustang’s racing legacy to a new series reaching a huge and loyal audience.”

So watch for this Mustang NASCAR at the 2010 Nationwide series, next year.
