Mazda will be introducing two interesting versions of the all-new Mazda3 at this year’s Geneva Motor Show in March.First one is the Mazda3 MPS (Mazdaspeed3 in the U.S.) for customers who look for more performance compared to the standard version. The MPS will be powered by the same 2.3L Turbocharged MZR engine. No official numbers about the power, but we expect it to be around 280hp. So the MPS will go against the Subaru Impreza WRX, Mini Cooper S-Works, and the Volkswagen R32. Power is sent to front wheels and as the car is lighter than its predecessor the performance numbers will be improved as well. Exterior changes compared to the beautiful base model include deeper bumpers, side sills, twin exhausts, hood scoop and large rear spoiler.

The second model that Mazda will be releasing is the all-new Mazda3 i-stop. It's a combination of the new i-stop technology (which is basically a start-stop engine technology) and a 2.0L DISI (Direct Injection Spark Ignition) MZR engine. Together, these two Mazda proprietary technologies help the new model achieve approximately 12% lower urban cycle.
