This is a performance Taurus. So we'll start first with the power. As we said, it's powered by the all new 3.5L twin-turbo EcoBoost V6. The 2010 Taurus SHO is good for 365hp at 5,500 rpm and 350 lb-ft of torque at 3,500 rpm. That's 50hp more power than a Ford Mustang with a 4.6L V8. But the Taurus SHO gets proper V6 fuel mileage, at above 20 mpg. The engine is mated to 6-speed 6F55 SelectShift transmission (with paddle-shifters) with a sophisticated all-wheel-drive system. Though at some points, most of the power is sent to the rear-wheels. Moreover, the Taurus SHO also takes full advantage of a multi-link SR1 rear suspension design which enhances driver control. So the driver can choose suspension moods depending on the mood, from "soft" to "sport".
And for those looking for a little more, Ford is offering an SHO "Performance Package" that includes upgraded brake pads, recalibrated EPAs, a “Sport Mode” setting for the standard AdvanceTrac Electronic Stability Control and a shorter 3.16 to 1 final drive ratio for a boost in acceleration. 20-inch Goodyear Eagle F1 performance tires and premium painted wheels are also included.
As for the exterior, it remains pretty much the same as the gorgeous standard model, but with little details to make it more aggressive. So it still has a large front-air intake and a sharp roof-line, but the SHO has additional 19-inch Goodyear Eagle tires, a decklid-mounted spoiler, and twin chrome exhaust tips. All these little details give it a much more muscly and aggressive look.

Inside, it remains the same, but now with "SHO" badges all over the cabin and two-toned leather seats. . Buyers may also opt for a Reverse Camera System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Information System, Multi-Contour Seats with Active Motion, and a Sony Audio System with 12 speakers. So it's well equipped.
