Based on the current Murcielago LP640, the LP670-4 SV will feature 662hp from an updated 6.7L V12. That said, the new SV will weight 3671 lbs, it's 200 lbs lighter than the current car. So that's what "670" and "SV" mean, and obviously, the last "4" stands for the use of All-Wheel-Drive (AWD). With the combination of all these factors, rumors that the LP670-4 SV will hit 60mph in 3.2 seconds. That's quick!
Because this is a racing special edition Murcielago, it'll have more aggressively designed front with intakes on the hood, new gloss-black painted wheels, new side mirrors, a redesigned rear fascia and a choice of two spoilers, standard or more aggressive. Additionally, the new LP670-4 SV features an optional large ‘SV’ graphic on the side, in case the Murci wasn’t eye-catching enough. The SV will also make an extensive use of Alcantara Suede and leather for the interior.
Lamborghini is expected to officially announce the car in March 2009 while first deliveries will begin in June. Expect to pay a 25% increase over the standard LP640 for the 350 unit, limited edition Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV.
