New Sketches: 2010 Hyundai Equus (VI) official renderings revealed

According to Hyundai-Blog, these sketches belong to the 2010 Hyundai Equus (VI). Current Equus has been on sale in South Korea since 1999. However, the new Equus will likely go on sale world-wide beginning of 2010. So some rumors say, that the Equus won't be logoed as a Hyundia for the world.

These renderings are very impressive, and should definitely make other luxury car makers worried.
Next-generation Equus will not only look good, it will also feature advanced safety and engine technologies. Some of the expected features include: Vehicle Stability Management System (VSM2), a Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) and a Pre-Safety Seat belt System. Rumor is that 2010 Equus will also get the first in-house developed 8-speed automatic gearbox. Power will come from the same 4.6L V8 from the Genesis. More powerful 5.0L V8 with 400+hp is expected later.

So it seems that Hyundai is not a synonym of low quality anymore. In addition, looks like every new model they are introducing just gets better and better compared to the previous ones. We might hear a word from Hyundai about the Equus in the Detroit Auto Show this month. So stay tuned.
