RumorMill : Porsche developing a 4-cylinder turbo engine on Boxster in 2011?

There's a new rumor from UK's Autocar that Porsche will be going light-weight engines with the Boxster. The second generation Porsche Boxster that's due sometime in 2011 will feature a new base model equipped with a fuel efficient four-cylinder engine around 2.0 to 2.4-liters of displacement. However, the report states that the engine will likely be turocharged, giving a bit over 200hp as a result. Now that's not mind-blowing Porsche power, but because this will be lighter it should make-up to the little amount of horsepower. And because the next-generation Boxster will be lighter, it should be more agile through-out the corners. The major advantage to this "switch", is that the smaller engine will certainly give lower CO2 emissions. In the end comes the question whether is this true or not? Well, we have to wait for Porsche to confirm this!
