New Sketches : Audi releases sketches of A5 Cabrio, Sportback, A7, R8 Spider and next A8

Audi has released official sketches of some upcoming vehicles that are currently in-works right now .

Although one of these sketches is the A5 Cabrio , we already know how it will look like from the spy pictures .Other than the convertible , the A5 will get a Sportback version , which is a sort of four-door coupish type thing that we expect will get in the way of A4 sales just like the CC does for the Passat over at Volkswagen .

Then comes the bigger A7 . Just like the A5 Sportback , this is a coupish like sedan . But this one has a proper trunk rather than a rear hatch in the A5 Sportback so it can compete with Mercedes's CLS. The Audi A7 will be launched next year as a 2010 model

The adoreable R8 will also have a cut-off roof job . The new R8 Spider will feature the same 4.2L V8 , with the same 414 hp . However , Audi is still working on a V10 engine for the supercar .Finally , Audi's next-generation A8. It will be revealed in the fall of 2009. At the launch date ,it will be offered with a 4.2 FSI delivering 372 hp and a 4.2 TDI with 340 hp. In 2010, the company will also add two six-cylinder (gasoline / diesel) with three liters and later a V10. The W12 could be dropped in favor of a hybrid version.
