Carbon Motors gets 10,000 reservations for E7 Police Car

Many have not heard of it, but Carbon Motors is aiming big towards police cars. Last year, Carbon Motors introduced their first ever police car, the E7, and opened reservations to be delivered in 2012. Carbon Motors aims to globalize the E7 as a standard police car, all around the world.
Well, Carbon Motors announced that it has received more than 10,000 reservations for its E7 Police Car. The company said that it plans to announce where it will base its headquarters and manufacture the Carbon E7 later this summer.
What's special about the E7 is its looks, and drivetrain. The E7 looks aggressive and down-right mean, which is good for a police car. Most to note are the suicide rear doors, just like in a Rolls-Royce. The Carbon Motors E7 is powered by a 3.0L turbo-diesel that makes a total of 300 hp. The engine is also mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission that helps it go from 0 to 60 mph time of 6.5 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph. The E7 returns an estimated combined fuel-economy between 28 to 30 mpg. So the E7 is faster than the classic Ford Crown Victoria Police Car and also faster than the Dodge Charger Police Car, but yet manages better fuel economy. That makes police departments so interested in the E7.
