Despite there hasn't been any official production photos of the long-waited Lexus LF-A supercar, but it has been seen many times wearing camouflage and being tested around the famous Nurburgring race track in Germany. In fact, with over two years of testing on the 'Ring, Lexus is going to run the new LF-A in the Nurburgring 24-Hour Race.
Lexus today released photos of its new 2009 Lexus LF-A 24-Hours Nurburgring Race Version. Lexus said that the race version was “developed with an eye toward commercial release.” Lexus engineers will use feedback from the 24-Hour Race to tune the production LF-A’s performance.
The LF-A Nurburgring 24-Hour Race Version will be entered to the race by Gazoo Racing, which from what we learned, is a Japanese market, Toyota-owned, e-commence website that has its own racing team.
Power comes from an all-new Lexus 4.8L V10. This engine is production-ready and it produces 500 hp, and will top 200 mph. With a classic layout of front-mid-engine, RWD, and a paddle-shift sequential-manual transmission. The LF-A Nurburgring 24-Hour Race Version is very light, as it's fully made of carbon-fiber.

The LF-A Nurburgring 24-Hour Race Version is actually a good teaser to the production LF-A supercar that will be on sale on showrooms in 2010.
