Video : Stock 2010 Ford Mustang GT sets the world's longest drift, unofficial !

As the saying goes, records are meant to be broken. For Vaughn Gittin Jr., that record was the world's longest drift. This past December, Gittin and 0-60 Magazine took a road trip across the United States in a 2010 Ford Mustang GT. Along the way, he stopped at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, to break the record of the world's longest drift.

The previous milestone drift was 4,137 feet, but Gittin believed he could beat that in his stock 2010 Mustang GT, with the help of Falken Azenis ST-155 tyres. So with constant opposite-lock and slippy tyres, Gittin hold a drift for over 2-minutes, results an astonishing drift of 6,285 feet or 1.19 miles.

While the results are still being approved and accepted by Guinness World Record, the motoring press crowns Gittin as a record-holder, and the Mustang GT as the best stock drift car!
