Report : Citroen GT supercar confirmed for production, will use GM or Ford V8

When Citroen unveiled their own GT Concept supercar at Paris' Auto Show last October, it was only designed for the Gran Turismo 5 Playstation3 game. However, according to AutoCar, Citroen product head, Vincent Besson, the Citroen GT super concept has now been confirmed for production.
Because the concept received high praise and huge positive feedback, Citroen decided to build 20 limited units only. “We are now thinking of a limited run, possibly as many as 20 units,” Besson told the press.
In concept form, the Citroen GT was intended to be hydrogen-powered. But since hydrogen-powered cars are still in their first generation and not powerful enough, Besson also announced that Citroen GT will be powered by a more production-like V8, from either Ford or GM. With American V8 power, and European design, expect the Citroen GT to reach 60 mph in less than 4 seconds, and top out at around 200 mph.
