New Reveal At Detroit: 2010 Lexus HS 250h

Today at the Detroit Auto Show Lexus revealed the 2010 HS 250h. It is world’s first dedicated luxury hybrid vehicle and the fourth and most fuel-efficient hybrid under Lexus brand. Being the first in its class it lacks direct competition.
Lexus positions HS 250h between the IS luxury sport sedan and the EX luxury sedan. Equipped with Lexus’ first four-cylinder gas engine, the 2.4L powerplant is part of the latest Lexus Hybrid Drive System, which generates 187 hp.
The HS 250h sedan’s expected fuel efficiency will be more than 30-percent better than the most fuel-efficient model currently in the Lexus lineup. Among the technologies adopted in the 2.4L four-cylinder engine are cooling piston oil jets; an optimized balance shaft rate for improved Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) characteristics; and a hot-air venting system mounted behind the radiator.
In addition to being extremely fuel efficient HS 250h is also full of features to make your journey as comfortable as possible. There is even a camera mounted in the front grille, that monitors hard-to-see areas with just the push of a button from the steering wheel. Safety features include Lexus’ next generation telematics systems, Lexus Enform, Safety Connect, Vehicle Stability Control, Pre-Collision System with Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. In standard Hs 250h comes with 10 airbags and active front head rests.

Lexus HS 250h will go on sale late summer as a 2010 year model.
