RumorMill : Four-door GT-R to smash Porsche's Panamera

According to AutoExpress , Nissan is working on a Porshce Panamera rival . It'll be based on Nissan's GT-R , but with 4 doors . However , It'll be badged as an Infiniti not a Nissan . As the GT-R coupe beated the 911 Turbo , this 4-door sedan will be aimed to beat cars like the Porsche Panamera , Aston Martin Rapide , Audi RS6 , Mercedes E63 AMG and ofcourse the BMW M5 . So the Germans need to take cover .

As we said , this will basically be a GT-R but with 4-doors . It'll feature the same four-wheel-drive chassis and twin-clutch gearbox as the GT-R coupe . However, it will have a longer wheelbase and place an emphasis on comfort and luxury rather than performance. As for engine , It'll probably have the same 3.8L twin-turbo V6 with around 500 hp . Though AutoExpress are saying that the mad sedan will get a 5.0L V8 as the Infiniti FX50 SUV , with 420 hp . Whatever its got , we know that Nissan's horsepower numbers mean more performance than Porsche's horsepower numbers . Expect to see the 4-door GT-R testing at the Nurburgring soon , and roll the dealers in 2011 .

Yeah, maybe it will beat the guys from Zuffenhasen, but I'd still rather be driving a Porsche than a tarted-up Datsun.
