Yes . Mercedes biggest car is now a hybrid . What Mercedes did , is equip a standard S350 with a battery motor to add 20 hp and 88 lb-ft of torque to the original 3.5L V6 . As Mercedes say , this could achieve 30 MPG combined city and highway . Ofcourse , this hybrid has all the regulations as any hybrid . Such as stop function and regenerative braking . And because the Germans don't want any of the boot space shrunk , they made the battery small enough to make it fit next to the engine . The M-B S400 BlueHYBRID will be available in Europe next summer .PICTURES :
